Fajr filmfest narrows down audience award nominations to five

The head of 35th Fajr International Film Festival's Audience Award commission said the number of movies will be narrowed down to five in the final run for the award.

Every night of the festival, the best movies are put to vote. On the first nights ten best movies were in the polls, but number will gradually decrease to five, Ali Ashtianipour said.

Viewing audience will be polled to make selections and polling continues till Bahman 20.

Fajr festivals are held annually to commemorate Iran's late Islamic revolutionary leader Imam Khomeini' return from exile in 1979 and the fall of monarchy in Iran. 

Before 1995, only Iranian movies took part at the festival, but organizer decided to admit movies made abroad and hold it as an international event.
